About the practitioner
Integrative Medicine Practitioner · Expert in Medical Aesthetics · Cosmetologist · Trichologist
In practice since 2005 and in aesthetic medicine since 2008, Dr. Fatima Sajeeda has treated more than 30,000 patients and trained over 100 practitioners. She is the founder of Auraa Skincare Clinic, opened in 2021 in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, and of the Auraa Institute of Laser & Aesthetic Medicine (AILAM).
The most common reason skin treatment fails is that the condition was never correctly identified. Melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and sun-induced spots look similar to the eye but behave completely differently — and a treatment that clears one can visibly worsen another.
Every patient at Auraa begins with a structured assessment before any treatment is recommended. That assessment covers the pattern and depth of the concern, medical and hormonal history, medications, previous treatments, and how the skin has reacted in the past. Only then is a plan built.
Dr. Fatima does not sell fixed packages before diagnosis, and does not promise outcomes that skin cannot deliver. Melasma is a chronic condition to be managed rather than cured. Stretch marks improve but do not vanish. Fat freezing is contouring, not weight loss. Patients are told what is realistic before they commit to anything.
Acne and acne marks · acne scarring · pigmentation and melasma · post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation · hair loss and trichology · laser treatments calibrated for melanin-rich skin · body contouring and inch loss · semi-permanent makeup.
Consultations are held in English, Hindi, Urdu and Telugu — so patients can describe their concern in the language they think in, which matters more in a skin history than most people expect.
Dr. Fatima has certified with the International Education Board (Department of Aesthetics and Cosmetology) — IEBDAC — across Singapore, Korea and Bangkok, and completed Train the Trainer with IEBDAC in the United Kingdom. She now teaches as an international speaker and trainer for the board.
Her institute, AILAM, is accredited by IEBDAC and runs diplomas in Cosmetology, Trichology, Aesthetics, SPMU and Laser Technology, alongside certificate courses in non-surgical aesthetics. Batches are deliberately small, with supervised hands-on cases in a working clinic rather than theory alone.
The protocols taught at AILAM are the protocols practised on patients at Auraa. That is not a marketing line — it is the reason the teaching holds up.
Dr. Fatima worked across multiple corporate clinics as a treating doctor, then as a corporate manager, a trainer of doctors, and finally as Country Beauty Head — running clinical standards and training at national scale before founding her own practice.
She has also presented weekly beauty and skincare programming on Ruby Channel, 4TV and Siasat TV.
Dr. Fatima writes and medically reviews every article in The Auraa Journal. A selection:
